As part of school events, Sharon is available to read and discuss creative written works by students. She has extensive experience critiquing poetry, picture books and fiction for middle grade, YA and adults. She has worked with public school students and home-schooled students at a creative learning center.

April 2026, ZIGGY’S POTATO met all of the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students at Shipley Lower School in Bryn Mawr, PA in a wonderful book talk. From youngest to oldest, the students were engaged, inquiring and participatory and not at all intimidated by being with so many of their fellow students.
March 2026 ZIGGY’S POTATO met all the 4th grade students at Upper Merion Area School District’s five elementary schools over the course of a week. These schools feels like home after three years speaking with students. Students focused on Ziggy’s hope, resilience, and courage.
January 2026 ZIGGY’S POTATO met 6th grade students at a synagogue program for our third year in row. Wonderful, thoughtful students in a small setting full of big ideas. Students connected Ziggy’s journey to hope and resilience with their own lives and the lives of their families.
